A is for adorable

When it comes to taking pictures of kids, keeping the entertainment quotient high seems to bring out the best in little ones.
Recently Kelly Smith, a family portrait photographer in Wisconsin, charmed us with this snapshot of her three kids clowning with the letters ADORE.
Kelly found the vintage sign letters at Timeless Treasures after seeing work by So. Cal. photographer Tara Whitney.
Tara was among the first people who blogged about letters she found during a visit to Timeless Treasures while in the Bay Area photographing clients a few years ago.
She chose letters for her art studio to spell out her advice to people she photographs... just be.
Since then, Tara has used large letters from Timeless Treasures to spell COZY in a family series, which has led to other photographers adapting the concept in unique ways.
Kelly added her personal twist to using old letters, which she says she chose for the variety of textures, colors and sizes. In a way, she says, the individuality of each letter reflects the unique characteristics of a family. "Each family is so different" she adds."so if each letter is different, in a way it represents each one individually in a family."
