We’ve Got the Goods: Fabulous, Original Antique Quilts to Debut on May 19th

Old quilts have been among my very favorite hand-me-downs ever since my Mom gave me one while I was in college. It was a crisp white-and-marine-blue-cotton beauty made by a friend of my grandmother. Although it's worn and faded now from many trips to the beach and machine washing, it still holds a lot of great memories.

If you appreciate the unique beauty and craftsmanship of authentic American folk art, we have got a marvelous treat in store. We're calling it The Great American Antique Quilt Sale, and it begins at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 19th at Timeless Treasures.

We will showcase more than 40 American quilts gathered from cities and towns across America. These beauties date from the 1850's to the 1950's and were done in a variety of colors and patterns. You'll see grandmother's flower garden, nine-patch, double wedding ring, lone star, drunkard's path, log cabin and more. Just imagine how fabulous one would look hanging on a large wall in your home or studio/office.

Several of the sturdy cotton ones would also make great throws and bedspreads. And if you have been trying to come up with a spectacular gift for your best friends whose wedding you're going to be in this summer, we've got just the ticket. One of the quilts would make an unforgettable wedding present.

Stop by the store next Thursday evening, or give us a call for more details.
