Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder

When it comes to favorite furniture, we are big fans of primitive wooden stools and benches, especially when they are covered with layers of old paint. The crusty surface gives an otherwise utilitarian piece added interest and character.
This stool, for example, came from France and it shows evidence of some serious painting projects. It happens to be a perfect height for a mini coffee table or a chairside stool. With a glass of wine or a cup of coffee, you would be all set to relax. You can see a hint of an old painted dropleaf table that's now at Timeless Treasures, too. Together these two charmers might be all you need for a tiny corner of your kitchen.
