Love letters

Cynics may say that Valentine's Day is just a made-up holiday, a day promoted by the makers of chocolates and greeting cards and long-stemmed roses. But to die-hard romantics, it is a day to truly revel in the miracle of love and friendship. Sometimes all it takes to delight your beloved or a special friend or your teenage daughter is a remembrance that says "you matter to me."

Erin Richardson, a clever and skillful jewelry-maker and part-time pastry baker, now works her creative magic at Timeless Treasures. Her hand-drawn tags elevate everyday gift possibilities to Valentine treasures.

Among the Valentine highlights now in stock are a collection of antique apothecary jars from Belgium and France, shown here. Each one is accompanied by a tag that says, "We've got great chemistry, Valentine!"
An antique typewriter key bracelet made by Marin artist Rachel Hannah can help you convey to a beloved that "you are just my type."
These alphabet glass coasters with single-letter monograms, handmade by New York artist Ben Busko, can spell out a message that's funny or enticing or romantic or mysterious.
And a vintage globe becomes a perfect gift for "the one who means the world" to you.

If an idea strikes your fancy, come and see us or give us a call. We're game to try and concoct something whimsical and wonderful to celebrate a birthday, wedding or anniversary, or as a unique way to say "thank you." We can write something equally personal for any gift you choose. Just, um, say the word.
