Signs of other times

There is something so appealing about an authentic vintage sign. The typography, graphics and faded elegance add character to an otherwise ho-hum wall space. We have several marvelous old signs now at Timeless Treasures, including the three shown here. The Wonder Bread sign, which dates back to the 1960's or earlier, reminds us that this favorite American staple of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches helps build strong bodies 8 ways. Made of sturdy metal, the primary colors are still quite strong, and we think it would be awesome in a family kitchen.
The faded red and white sign, salvaged from an old Sausalito shipyard, reminded people not to enter the property. This isn't a great snapshot, but it is a fine sign! Wouldn't a teenager love this wooden warning to hang on a bedroom wall?
The vintage French sign for lodging is a real conversation piece. Found in France, it depicts the French equivalent of the tourist association. Notice the fire illustration at the bottom. That, we are told, symbolizes hospitality. We think it would be a fantastic, one-of-a-kind decor detail for your weekend house or the guest room or family room. Bienvenue! Contact us for details, or stop by and see them.
