Shop (and Party) for a Great Cause!

This Sunday afternoon (Nov. 4th), we are hosting a benefit at Timeless Treasures for Edgewood Center for Children and Families in San Francisco. Our theme is How do you spell hope?.

We will donate 30% of our sales of all letter-related products to Edgewood to support the outstanding work of this nonprofit agency that gives hope to so many families.

To inspire you and stir your creative juices, there will be examples of how other people are using letters to personalize their home. Spell out EAT in the kitchen, JUST BE in the family room, or your child's name in his or her room. J for Jessica, M for Michael...nothing makes a place feel as personal as your very own monogram.

We will have a huge selection of old sign letters, including all our back stock, in the store especially for this occasion. Pick up vintage postcards, flash cards and other paper ephemera to create a collage or scrapbook, or to give as a gift.

We will serve snacks and cider to ward off any chill in the air, and chardonnay to celebrate (belatedly) our 8th birthday on Sutter Street.

Every purchase of earrings, cufflinks, and necklaces made from vintage typewriter keys, as well as sterling silver bracelets and necklaces embellished with words, will also benefit Edgewood. The eat, drink and be merry sterling necklace by local artist Amy Pfaffman shown here would make a great holiday gift for your favorite fun party girl. Our monogrammed, handmade notecards, and Archipelago Botanical Monogram candles would also delight your bookclub pals, teachers and others on your holiday gift list. (Come to think of it, a candle beside a warm bath would be delightful for you on a chilly, grey San Francisco evening!)

Plan to join the party on Sunday afternoon, and help spread the word to design-savvy people who have a passion for graphic or interior design, old letter fonts and words.

Sunday, November 4
