sometimes all it takes is a spot of color to perk things up

We heard from Susie Biehler, a Bay Area art photographer and restaurant marketing consultant, that she stopped by last week for a little something, and chose this vintage purple-striped ice bucket. It now sits on Susie's desk, "holding this and that."
We love hearing how people re-purpose vintage pieces with personality instead of choosing some new gizmo made of whatever.
Jano Kray says she had been searching for a while for just the right bookshelf to fit a small space in her Menlo Park kitchen. She wanted something to complement her whimsical Mexican artwork, hold her favorite cookbooks and provide a space for some of her blue pottery collection. While she was in San Francisco for a photography workshop a few weekends ago, look what she discovered at Timeless Treasures. This vintage piece, in old dark blue paint, is "perfect, just what I was looking for", according to Jano.
