Feel Right at Home! Kress Jack comes to us for the fun pieces

When Lisa and George moved into their renovated 19th century flat in the Fillmore neighborhood some months ago, they were just steps away from two shops that have proven to be an ideal match for their needs and tastes. Their savvy interior designer, Kress Jack, chose what she refers to as "the fun pieces" at Timeless Treasures to recommend to her clients. Lucky for us! The whole project is turning out well, and we have created a new working partnership with an up-and-coming designer and made friends right on our block.

With busy lives and a baby on the way, Lisa and George looked to Kress for advice on paint colors and interior design to quickly make their place feel ready for lots of company. In the living room, they chose a theme of a whiskey bar, partly a reflection of George's Scottish heritage. The vintage sign letters and mirrors made from reclaimed ceiling tin are all from Timeless Treasures. "I love working with clients to get the anchor pieces for a room and then pick out fun things that are unique and personal," Kress says.

Kress is shown above with the whole family, holding baby daughter Riley. That's top dog Whiskey Girl sprawling on a new chair and George and Lisa sharing another comfy spot. You can see a glimpse of the outcome of their collaboration on a unique blend of contemporary furnishings with vintage decor details. The sharp-looking new pieces were selected at Studio D, a contemporary furnishings store just down the block from us..

For Lisa and George's home, Kress proposed a rich color palette of chocolate brown, sage green and wine paint for the walls to complement white and cream upholstered pieces and contemporary metal and glass tables and lighting. A punch of color, such as the Y in whiskey, keeps the design warm and lively.

When it comes to creating a home that's relaxed and inviting, with a contemporary feeling that includes just the right touch of vintage decor detail, Kress is a fabulous resource. Interested in catching up with her? Just give us a call and we can put you in touch.
